Metemamen Microfinance S.C. Hosts 16th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting

On November 9, 2024, Metemamen Microfinance Institution S.C. successfully hosted its 16th Ordinary Shareholders’ General Assembly Meeting at Hotel Deleopol. A total of 87 shareholders participated, including representatives from various Catholic Church vicariates across major regions, individual shareholders, and staff members of the institution.
The meeting commenced with a warm welcome from Ato Bekele Moges, Chairman of the institution’s Board of Directors, followed by a prayer in keeping with the cherished tradition of the gathering.
During the assembly, all agenda items were unanimously approved. Key resolutions included:
- The endorsement of share purchases for new and existing shareholders.
- Approval of the Board’s report for the 2023/2024 fiscal year.
- Acceptance of the external audit report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.
- Allocation of profit dividends for the fiscal year.
- Election of new board members to fill vacant seats.
Ato Bekele, Board chair, presented the Board of Directors’ report to the assembly, highlighting the institution’s achievements despite the challenging economic and political climate in the country. Additionally, the external auditor delivered the audit report, underscoring the commendable performance of Metemamen during the fiscal year.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of the minutes prepared by the assembly secretary, ensuring formal documentation of the proceedings.
