Metemamen Microfinance Institution is proud to announce that our CEO, W/ro Wegayehu Asrat, has been honored at the prestigious ‘Pearl Woman’ event, an initiative dedicated to recognizing influential women who have made significant contributions to society. The ‘Pearl Woman’ event, now in its fifth iteration, shines a spotlight on women who have not only excelled in their fields but have also served as role models, paving the way for others to follow. Each year, the event brings together prominent women to share their stories of success, perseverance, and inspiration with an audience of over 150 attendees, primarily women.

Under her leadership, Metemamen has grown into a trusted institution with a wide-reaching impact, serving over 60,000 clients across the country. As the only woman CEO in the microfinance sector for many years, W/ro Wegayehu’s recognition at the ‘Pearl Woman’ event is a testament to her tireless efforts to promote gender equality and financial empowerment.
