Metemamen Microfinance S.C. Hosts 17th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting

On November 15, 2025, Metemamen Microfinance S.C. successfully convened its 17th Ordinary General Assembly Meeting at the ECS general Secretariat Office. Shareholders gathered to review the institution’s annual performance, discuss key agenda items, and endorse major decisions guiding the institution’s continued growth.

During the assembly, members deliberated on and unanimously approved several key agenda points. These included the sale and transfer of shares for both new and existing shareholders, the annual performance report presented by the Board of Directors, the external audit report for the fiscal year and the approval of the newly elected External Audit firm for the coming three years.  Each agenda item received full endorsement following detailed presentations and discussion.

The Board of Directors reported strong performance for the 2024/2025 fiscal year. According to the report, Metemamen Microfinance registered a net profit of 126 million birr, successfully strengthening its capital base. This achievement reflects the institution’s continued commitment to expanding quality financial services and maintaining operational resilience.

Having served communities for the past 23 years, Metemamen Microfinance S.C. continues to play an important role in expanding access to finance. With operations across five regions and 33 branches, the institution now provides diverse financial services to more than 68,000 clients, particularly in rural and semi urban areas where access to finance remains a challenge.

The meeting concluded with the formal adoption of the minutes prepared for the session, ensuring proper documentation of all decisions and proceedings of the 17th Ordinary General Assembly.
